Hello and a very warm welcome to the parish of Godalming!
Welcome to St Peter and St Paul’s Church with St Mark’s Church website. I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, discovering our church family. You will find a place where you can be inspired, encouraged, and equipped to meet the practical needs of living in today’s world; a place where you can experience God and become all that God wants you to be.
We are a church family of all ages with a variety of life experiences, whose lives continue to be transformed through our faith in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and by our friendships with one another. We have a common desire to express the unconditional love of Christ with all those we meet, and we seek to do this through living out lives of service to Him and our local communities in the beautiful town of Godalming.
It is our hope that all people will feel loved and welcomed here. And once here, we pray that people will encounter God and grow in their walk with Him. We want that for you. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the truth of God that can only be known when one knows Jesus.
While you are browsing our website, you will catch a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse. To fully understand us, come to a service and join in with people who share time together. We pray that very soon you will feel able to be part of this church family, and join in with what God is calling us to be and do in Godalming.
‘Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you,
for the glory of God.’ Romans 15:7 ESV
This is an exciting time in the life of our two churches as we unite with Busbridge Church and Hambledon Church to create the new Godalming Minster which will begin on 1st January 2024. With our shared resources we are seeking to extend God’s kingdom in the town and neighbouring villages, creating new opportunities and a place for everyone to fit in!
Enjoy the website, then come. We’d love to meet you and know you. You may come in as a stranger, but you’ll leave as family.
